Modern Ironworks on Ancient Stone

When examining the visuals of the project, it is impossible not to notice yet another central element that completes the aesthetic harmony of the buildings. These are the black iron beams, the iron bars and other metal elements that meld with the impressive artistry of the elegant facades.

Yoel Feigin, a member of the revered architectural firm of Yehuda Feigin, explains:

“We designed Jerusalem Estates in the same fashion as we did with the newest elite Jerusalem projects, such as the Waldorf Astoria and the new Orient Hotel in Emek Refaim, which won international awards for design. Here too we added elements of steel, like the exposed black iron beams over the eternal Jerusalem stone. This adds a modern touch to the historic project along with clear ties to Schneller. The compound includes ancient stone houses that are also endowed with beautiful handcraft designs, creating an environmental harmony, and focusing on the eternity of Jerusalem and the breathtaking modernity “

The Best Contractors Execute the Magnificent Works

No less important than the meticulous planning of the project is the precise implementation of the plans.  At Jerusalem Estates, we set a very high bar at the outset of the planning for any supplier of materials or sub-contractor. We conducted extensive due diligence to find the best suppliers and most qualified professionals in their respective fields. This is not dissimilar to a private person who designs and builds the house of his dreams. The retention of the suppliers and subcontractors was contingent on their meeting these lofty expectations.

Brass Steel and Copper Craftsmen

The Steel Sagdor Company, a world class steel contractor, was selected to do the steel works at Jerusalem Estates. They have been involved in countless well-known luxury projects around the world, including the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan, luxury villas and private homes, the Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem, as well as the restoration of the Churva Synagogue and an adjacent new wall partition.

Yossi Lehrer, one of the two Lehrer brothers that owns Sagdor says:

“In addition to diligence and honesty, our father Meir taught us the secrets of his extraordinary work in brass and copper. Jerusalem Estates joins the chain of traditional artistic projects that profile the unique works of artistry and craftsmanship, resulting in the most prestigious and high quality classic product. “

Preserving the Past in Respects of the future

The meticulous investment in stone and design as well as the ultimate execution links the project to one of the basic cornerstones of Jerusalem in general and Jerusalem Estates in particular: the preservation of the past in tandem with the development of the new and the modern. The Jerusalem charm that is woven between the ancient stones is in contrast with modern development but yet honors the city’s history with renewed splendor.

In the coming months we will continue to share the magnificent details of the development as well as highlight some of the renowned craftsmen and artists who combine to create the perfect mosaic of creativity. All of this in advance of the fulfillment of the vision behind the Jerusalem Estate flagship luxury project is realized, from the minutest detail to the big picture which Jerusalem has yet to see.
