With the completion of Phase I here at Jerusalem Estates, we chose to highlight the project from a new angle this month: through the camera lens of Chezi Hujesta, a talented photographer who documented the building process with an artist’s discerning eye.
The Soul of an Artist
Chezi comes from a family of skilled artists. His brother Effy Hujesta is renowned for his sculptures, exhibitions and versatile art. Some of his most innovative projects were done together with Chezi, who apparently inherited the same brilliant gene that helps the brothers see the world in such an original context. During these Three Weeks, when we mourn the destruction of Yerushalayim, and pray for it to be rebuilt, we are gratified to share news of the latest progress in Jerusalem’s star development – built with the deepest longing and desire in our hearts, for Yerushalayim to be restored to its former glory. May it be speedily in our days.
Stones: A New Perspective
At Jerusalem Estates, we enjoyed seeing the way Chezi culled such unconventional perspectives, which are truly reflective of this unconventional project. The monthly snapshots brought new levels of excitement to our audience both in Israel as well as overseas.
